Our Security Guards are Recruited, Trained and Evaluated under strict criteria in order to ensure the best performance and operational output during missions while maintaining flawless cooperation with vessel’s crew.

Our Company seeks English-speaking candidates with very good health condition/psychological profile and prior service in the Armed Forces, mainly in Special Forces.

TMS Security Guards minimum criteria, on which the pre-employment process is based, are as follows:

Valid Passport (expiring not sooner than 10 months and having at least 4 blank pages)

Military Service Discharge and/or ex-Law Enforcement paper (honorably discharge certificate or certificate of service)

Detail CV (including previous employment history, operational experience, training certificates, personal references & testimonials)

Sufficient English Language skill

Recent and full documented Criminal Record Background (CRB)

MSO (Maritime Security Operative) and ISPS-SSO (Ship Security Officer) Course Certificates 

Assessment of Medical Fitness 

Valid Seafarer’s Medical/Health Certificate

Seaman’s Book and/or Card (if already issued)

Yellow Fever Vaccination Card

History of Drug & Alcohol (D&A) abuse

Psychiatric Certificate stating no history of any mental health issues 

7.62 mm Firearms Certificate

Full Basic & Security Awareness STCW95 Certified Modules:

– Personal Sea Survival Techniques (PST), as per STCW A-VI/1-1

– Marine Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting, as per STCW A-VI/1-2

– Elementary First-Aid, as per STCW A-VI/1-3

– Personal Safety & Social Responsibility (PSSR), as per STCW A-VI/1-4

– Security Awareness, as per STCW A-VI/6-1

Candidates are invited to submit their application and provide certified copies of all of the above documents in scanned PDF format.

Successful applicants will be required to provide all of the above documents and certificates to TMS HR/Manning Department when called forward to an interview.

ICoC (International Code of Conduct) for PSSP (Private Security Service Providers)
Voluntary Principles
UN basic principles on the use of force and firearms by Law Enforcement Officials (1990)
BMP5 (Best Management Practices for protection against Somalia based piracy)

The Initial Evaluation of candidates is based on their application data.

Only suitable applicants will be invited to an interview.
